TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATIONS
There are a few ways for you or a sponsor(parent, grandparent, etc.) of you to make your expenses tax deductible. The first way would be to ask your local congregation if they would be willing to take a special offering designated for your trip expenses. The second would be to use a Designated Fund Account through the Christian Dental Society. You would first need to become a member of CDS. Membership is FREE for students who have participated in a dental mission trip with a CDS dentist. Click here for more info -> CDS Membership Then contact Mrs. Tina Wendel, the administrator at CDS, and she will explain the next steps to setting up and utilizing a CDS Designated Fund Account. This account is different that the Guatemalan Smiles account mentioned below.
If you would like to make a tax deductible donation towards the general fund of our trip, please visit the Christian Dental Society website using the link below and contact them directly.
